SHABBAT ACROSS AMERICA

Let's celebrate together at our annual
Shabbat Across America
Dinner and Program
Friday evening, March 2nd

Brought to you by the National Jewish Outreach Program (NJOP)

Hundreds of synagogues and Jewish organizations across America will take part in the historic national Jewish event to celebrate what unifies all Jews -- Shabbat! Tens of thousands of Jews will come together to eat, drink, relax, dance and enjoy, debate and celebrate.

Once again the Van Cortlandt Jewish Center will open its doors to observant and to non-observant people alike so that they may experience and rejoice in a traditional Shabbos service and a festive Shabbos meal. Since we are outreaching to the entire community please bring a friend along with you.

This year we have Aryeth Stavsky who will lead the Friday evening Carlebach Style Kabbalat Shabbos Services and lead the singing at the Friday evening meal.

The Van Cortlandt Jewish Center (VCJC) is a modern Orthodox synagogue affiliated with the Orthodox Union (OU).

On weekdays, daily morning and afternoon/evening services are held in our Daily Chapel located on the ground floor. Sabbath and Holiday services are held in the Main Sanctuary on the first floor (see Schedule of Services). A Shabbos elevator is available on Saturday and holidays. We invite you to join us in our "heimish" (homelike) environment either as a new member (see Membership Application and Schedule of Dues and Fees), or as an attendee at our services and other functions. We are a part of the worldwide orthodox minyan database Go Daven!. Either way, the VCJC family welcomes you!
